GENERAL SUMMARY: The Clinical (Operations) Data Analyst is responsible for the management of all data projects assigned by the Chief Operating Officer and/or Executive Leadership. This position will be responsible for collecting, cleaning and interpreting complex healthcare data to improve patient outcomes, and optimizing workflows, and drive profitability. The Clinical (Operations) Data Analyst will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of a data warehouse and operational/financial dashboards and tools to optimize business operations and decision-making. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Fosters a positive and successful working environment, creating partnership with team members, leadership, and providers. Partners with operational leadership, information technology leadership, and other departments as needed to create standardized reporting definitions to build a single source of truth. Compiles, organizes, and manages large and varied data sets to optimize business operations. Develops and maintains a HIPAA-compliant data warehouse and operational/financial dashboards and tools for improved decision-making and the achievement of business objectives. Generates, analyzes and presents data trends to stakeholders. Develops and assists in executing process improvement projects following assessment of workflow and procedure to improve operational efficiency. Assists in developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization. Assembles project team, assign responsibilities and tasks to participants, and determine other resource requirements. Develops, documents, and ensures adherence to standardized processes and project reporting methodologies.• Develops presentations appropriate for audiences such as team members, providers, and senior leadership. Assists in the development of program policies and procedures and ensures system-wide training, implementation, and monitoring. Provide the full team with visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives and day-to-day business operations. Analyzes data to assist in delivering optimal ophthalmology care, and improved operational efficiency, and profitability. Prepares data visuals and detailed reports. Requirements CORE COMPETENCIES: Proven ability to develop and optimize operational processes, structures, and roles that enable efficiencies and support rapid growth. Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Proficient in business analytics and data visualization solutions, such as PowerBI. Proficient in project management and planning skills, including budget and metrics. Highly analytical and process-oriented while being able to think holistically and strategically. Strategic mindset with ability to make difficult decisions. Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers. Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization. Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening, negotiation and presentation. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED: Knowledge of ophthalmology clinical practice settings. Knowledge of MIPS compliance and optimization EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, health care administration or related field, required Minimum of three (3) years of prior healthcare operations, analyst and/or administrator experience. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Minimum of one (1) year of ophthalmology practice experience. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: N/A
