The DON will develop and implement care plans, maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, and foster a collaborative environment among nursing staff. This position requires a strong understanding of nursing practices, regulatory standards, and effective management skills to enhance patient outcomes and promote a culture of excellence. Responsibilities Lead and supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient care. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on resident assessments. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of medical records. Oversee the management of medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness. Conduct regular training sessions for nursing staff on best practices in patient care and safety protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate home health services as needed. Monitor patient health status and make necessary adjustments to care plans based on changing needs. Ensure adherence to MDS (Minimum Data Set) requirements for resident assessments. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and relevant medical practices to inform decision-making. Requirements Requirements Active WV Registered Nurse (RN) license Proven experience in nursing leadership or supervisory roles within assisted living, skilled nursing, or other acute healthcare settings. Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Familiarity with care plan development and implementation processes. Excellent understanding of medical records management practices. Knowledge of home health services and the ability to coordinate these effectively. Proficient in anatomy and physiology concepts relevant to patient care. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families. Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team environment.
