To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at www.southcoutryco-op.crs What you’ll do: Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacist is responsible for assisting the Pharmacy Manager with the overall operations of the Pharmacy department. Responsibilities include delivering world-class customer service, ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals, filling patient prescriptions, and providing information to customers. Our Pharmacists provide patient-focused care, including clinical services, counselling and professional advice on prescriptions and OTC products, and administering injections and immunizations. Obtain, interpret, and evaluate all prescriptions to ensure therapeutic appropriateness, cost-effectiveness, accuracy and completeness. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with health care professionals in the community to ensure optimal patient care. Supervise Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians. Oversee all dispensing duties carried out by a Pharmacy Assistant to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of all prescription dispensed. Who you are: You are looking for a career in Pharmacy and: You have a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.Sc.Phm.) or a Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from a recognized institution and are registered with the Alberta College of Pharmacy Preference is given to those with Additional Prescribing Authority (APA) designation or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire You’re familiar with the Kroll pharmacy system (preferred) Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Outlook, and Excel) Strong leadership skills with a high level of integrity and work ethic Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times Ability to adapt to new technology Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment Action-oriented with a positive, energetic approach Demonstrate the Co-op values of excellence, community, integrity, and people in every aspect of their approach Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
