CLINICAL PHARMACIST

Shift- 8am-4:30pm
Novant Health is seeking a Full-Time Clinical Pharmacist SME Informatics , to join our acute care pharmacy team, to deliver optimal medication management across all dimensions of care, every time. The Clinical Pharmacist SME Informatics will leverage their expertise in pharmacy and informatics to enhance medication safety, optimize pharmacy workflows, and support clinical decision-making through technology. This role involves investigating medication-related issues, coordinating with stakeholders, preparing educational materials, and managing various administrative tasks.
Essential functions include:

EDUCATION:

  • Prepare and coordinate educational materials for nursing, providers, and pharmacy staff, including weekly DPS emails, 4Ps, and Shortage PAs.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with Epic, ServiceNow, Alaris, BD Pyxis systems.
  • Experience in educational material preparation and presentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) Certification, required. Doctorate of Pharmacy, preferred.
  • Experience: Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system pharmacy, required.
  • Licensure/Certification:
  • Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) or must be completed within 30 days of start date by either examination or reciprocity, required.
  • Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or other approved certification must be obtained and continuously maintained within 2 years of start date as applicable to the role; excludes PRN team members who may not be eligible to take certification exam, required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures. Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed. Ability to work as part of a high performing, change ready and resilient team.
