REQUIREMENTS
Education: Pharm.D degree.
Preferred Education: Doctorate (Professional)
Certification: All of the following:
Texas State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist license within 90 days of job entry. Employees in Clinical Programs department (162400) must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of job entry.
Preferred Certification: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS), EPIC Certification, and Board of Pharmaceutical Specialty Certification (BCPS)
Experience: Pharmacy Practice Residency (PGY 1) and Residency in the area of specialization (PGY 2). Experience as a clinical pharmacist in the area of specialization may substitute for the required residency on a one-to-one basis.
Preferred Experience: Pharmacy Informatics, Drug Information, and/or Medication Safety experience
Three years hospital pharmacy experience
Proficiency with Epic Willow and/or Beacon applications
