POSITION SUMMARY

Position is responsible for assisting clinical physics faculty in the development and implementation of new technology and processes. In all cases, the individual will work under the direct supervision of a faculty board-certified or non-board certified clinical physicist.

Responsibilities
  • Performs data analysis for clinical process improvement.
  • Acquires data used for implementing new clinical physics procedures.
  • Assists clinical physicist in the development and implementation of new technology and processes:
  • Follows instructions of a medical physicist on gathering of specific commissioning data and measurements for a particular technology; follows instructions of a medical physicist on evaluation and verification of specific functions for a particular technology; performs validation measurements for new technology and processes; develops, validates and documents testing and QA procedures for new technology and processes; develops training materials for new technology and processes; provides training to other staff and faculty on specific technology and processes.
  • Performs clinical quality assurance measurements.
  • Performs patient IMRT quality assurance treatment planning.
