Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager Clinical Products, the Clinical Products Nurse contributes to ensuring that clinical products used throughout the District comply with Ministry of Health Procurement policies and procedures, HealthShare Contracts and relevant standards. The Clinical Products Nurse will liaise with clinical and other staff representatives and external vendors to ensure the clinical procurement process achieves a cost-effective and ‘best fit’ outcome for patients, clinicians and the District.
The Clinical Products Nurse will participate in change and reform programs that improve controls and systems with an appropriate balance between clinical care, safety and budget. The position has a focus on patient outcomes and collaboration in health care.
The incumbent will provide high level technical and strategic advice to the Manager, Clinical Products as well as staff within the District.
