Description

Department/Unit: Faculty of Medicine Closing Date: Until the post is filled Applicants should have (i) a medical qualification (approved for registration with the Hong Kong Medical Council); (ii) a higher qualification in a medical specialty acceptable to the Faculty; (iii) experience in teaching medical students (honorary or adjunct teacher in a medical school is also acceptable); and (iv) developed local leadership and portfolio in one or two of the following areas: clinical skills teaching, simulation, workplace assessment, medical assessments, bioethics, professionalism, communication skills, e-learning or any other areas of medical education. The appointee will teach medical students at the Prince of Wales Hospital (PWH) or associated teaching units. He/she should be dedicated to the development of medical education in addition to fulfilling some clinical duties as a clinician at PWH or associated teaching units. Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for up to three years, renewable subject to mutual agreement.

Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible for teaching medical students at the Prince of Wales Hospital or associated teaching units. Additionally, the role requires dedication to the development of medical education alongside fulfilling clinical duties as a clinician.
