Job Description:
Lincoln Regional Center, a Joint Commission-accredited state psychiatric hospital operated by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), is seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Program Manager/Team Lead Supervisor, to lead and oversee. This person serves as a liaison between front line supervisors, direct care staff, and Hospital Administration. This position is a core part of the Nursing Department Leadership Team. The essential purpose of this position is to supervise Mental Health Security Unit Supervisors within LRC to ensure consistency in decision making across the hospital. This position is responsible for performance management of the Mental Health Security Unit Supervisors as well as hospital initiative implementation; ensuring patient needs are carried out consistently and successfully across all LRC units in accordance with relevant policies and procedures; lead and train new Mental Health Security Unit Supervisors; providing on-going coaching and training; and implement changes in policy and procedures.

  • Establishes and maintains operational procedures, including coordinating: team meetings, assignment of teammates components, hospital functions with supportive activities in other units, and directing the day-to-day program activities of front line teams.
  • Maintains communication lines between the Clinical Program and other departments to insure continuity of care for patients.
  • Assures appropriate processes and Best Practices are maintained for patients involved in the Program by designating work to Mental Health Specialists through the supervisor staff.
  • Consults with all disciplines and facility programs to develop and maintain treatment philosophy and programming orientation for the Program.
  • Provides training and continuing education to insure staff development.
  • Supervises personnel from nursing services department in carrying out the Program functions.
  • Coordinates quality assurance activities and designs and implements quality improvement studies for the Program.

Requirements/ Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of training and/or work experience that will enable the incumbent to possess the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
A Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science plus supervisory experience and experience in program administration treatment, a rehabilitation of individuals with service, persistent mental illness, or sex offender services experience.
Other: Valid Driver’s License.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, Day Shift.
Wage:
$35.098 per hour, with an increase to $36.853 after successful completion of probation.

Skill in: treatment planning and implementation; formulating assessments; planning/organization; problem-solving; crisis intervention; supervision and delegation; program development, program evaluation, and administration; leadership and training.

ENTRY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Knowledge of: individual, group, and family therapeutic interventions; available community resources; hospital/facility policies and procedures; hospital accreditation standards; psychiatric treatment; behavior modification; psychiatric, social, vocational rehabilitation training, legal system and mental health board system.
Ability to: communicate effectively; prioritize work activities; generate and disseminate information.
Skill in: interpersonal communications; various therapeutic approaches.
