JOB SUMMARY

Direct Care and Treatment is seeking qualified and enthusiastic individuals to join our Competency Attainment Services team. The Competency Attainment Specialist is responsible for providing technical guidance related to quality competency attainment education service delivery for all patients at Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC) admitted under an order of incompetency. This role plays a vital part in treatment planning and competency attainment education service delivery for patients served at AMRTC and other MHSATS sites. This key role works in collaboration with individuals served, treatment team members and Competency Attainment Leadership staff.
The incumbent of this position must be flexible in terms of work hours as well as the ability to travel. The incumbent is expected to always represent DCT in a professional and positive manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all competency attainment education service track assignments for patients served at AMRTC with orders of incompetency.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure individuals receive active individualized, person-centered treatment in accord with AMRRTC’s certification as a Competency Attainment Service provider.
  • Assist with developing and implementing data collection related to the provision of competency attainment education services for patients served at AMRTC.
  • Monitor due dates for competency evaluation reports and ensures timely communication with treatment team members regarding evaluation interviews and other support needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, behavior analysis, or related field; and¿
  • ¿Licensure/Certification in the State of Minnesota (LSW)
  • ¿Two years of post-bachelor’s degree experience providing behavioral health clinical services including at least 3 of the 5 activities listed below:¿ ¿
  • Delivering psychoeducation and/or behavioral interventions¿ ¿
  • ¿Providing case coordination among multidisciplinary team members¿ ¿
  • ¿Conducting comprehensive assessments¿ ¿
  • ¿Leading development of treatment/support plans as required by program licensure¿ ¿
  • ¿Planning discharge/transition and/or aftercare¿

¿OR¿

  • ¿Master’s degree in psychology, social work, behavior analysis, or related field;¿
  • ¿Licensure/Certification in the State of Minnesota (LGSW, LPC)
  • One year of post master’s degree experience providing behavioral health clinical services including at least 3 of the 5 activities listed below:¿ ¿
  • Delivering psychoeducation and/or behavioral interventions¿ ¿
  • ¿Providing case coordination among multidisciplinary team members¿ ¿
  • ¿Conducting comprehensive assessments¿ ¿
  • ¿Leading development of treatment/support plans as required by program licensure¿ ¿
  • ¿Planning discharge/transition and/or aftercare¿

¿OR¿

  • ¿Master’s degree in psychology, social work, behavior analysis, or related field; and¿
  • ¿Independent Licensure/Certification in the State of Minnesota (LICSW, LPCC, LP, BCBA, LMFT)¿

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Past professional work experience including knowledge and understanding of the roles and relationships of courts, state, tribal, federal, and community agencies in the delivery of human services.
