Position: Clinical Psychologist - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Location: Greenwich CT

Psychiatry & Behavioral Health at Greenwich Hospital is seeking to employ a full-time clinical psychologist with specialties in evaluation and treatment of adolescent mental health. Psychiatry & Behavioral Health includes hospital-based, ambulatory programming comprising intensive outpatient (IOP) and routine outpatient services for the management of a spectrum of psychiatric conditions, including, but not limited to, depressive, anxiety, trauma-related, and substance use disorders. The clinical psychologist will provide evidence-based and solution-focused treatment, collaborating with other healthcare providers to improve the mental health and quality of life of the young adult.

Responsibilities


    1. Conducting diagnostic evaluations and treatment planning for newly referred patients


      1. Provision of individual and group psychotherapy


        1. Collaboration with physicians and other multidisciplinary staff for direct patient care


          1. Collection of outcome data related to clinical care


            1. Engagement in community outreach


              1. Participation in departmental meetings and activities


                1. Participation in training, supervision, and consultation activities


                  1. Maintaining charts on all clients in accordance with Quality Assurance policies and procedures

                  EDUCATION

                  Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical psychology from an APA-approved graduate program.

                  EXPERIENCE

                  Individuals with experience maintaining a clinical role in a child and adolescent outpatient practice; have been trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT); who embrace a biopsychosocial model of understanding and treating psychiatric illness; and are committed to program development are encouraged to apply.

                  SPECIAL SKILLS

                  Capability of working collaboratively with and around physicians and other healthcare providers; flexibility with schedule and work-place settings; demonstrated commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork; demonstrated cultural competency working with diverse cultures and communities.
