JOB OVERVIEW

It’s an exciting time to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in Cornwall, where your clinical expertise, training and high level of specialist experience are recognised with a genuine commitment to your career development and continued learning.
We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join our East Cornwall CAMHS team, based predominantly in liskeard. We are open to applicants from Clinical Psychologists who feel ready for a Band 8a role, however we are also very happy to consider applicants who wish to consider a Developmental role. Our developmental role posts enable clinicians to start with us in a Band 7 job role, and receive coaching and supervision to enable them to achieve competence as an 8a psychologist over an 18 - 24 month period.

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

To provide a qualified clinical psychology service to children and adolescent and their families with complex psychological problems, across all sectors of care: Proving Highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy at the same time as offering advice and consultation on client’s psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
