REQUIREMENTS

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an accredited institution.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a practitioner psychologist.
  • Proven experience working with children, individuals with autism, and those with disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills in clinical research methodologies and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding of client challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health and developmental needs.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, play therapy, and other evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients, including educators, social workers, and medical professionals.
  • Engage in clinical research to contribute to the advancement of psychological practices and therapies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with ethical guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Offer support and guidance to families of clients, particularly those with special educational needs or disabilities.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in psychology.
