About the role This exciting 12 month fixed-term Part-time (0.4 FTE or 0.6 FTE) opportunity with possibility of extension is for an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to work at Braeside Hospital as part of a multidisciplinary medical rehabilitation team, and will provide hospital-based psychological services to patients with mood disorders alongside a wide range of acquired disabilities, including but not limited to, stroke, neurological conditions and/or orthopaedic injuries. The opportunity may also exist to work in other inpatient settings such as Older Person’s Mental Health or Palliative Care. About you Completed Masters or Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology. Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) with full endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology, or eligibility to work towards Clinical Psychology endorsement Demonstrated experience in the psychological assessment and treatment of people with anxiety, depression, adjustment to life changes/illness, and/or chronic pain. Clinical experience across inpatient and community settings would be desirable. Capacity to design and implement short- and medium-term treatment protocols for a range of psychological issues, and the ability to adapt standardised approaches to meet the needs of patients with disability and/or CALD backgrounds. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a health setting Demonstrated high levels of self-motivation, organisation and time management and the capacity to contribute to service development and evaluation.
