Description Clinical Psychologist Supervisor (Assessment Team) Compensation: $150/hr; paid bi-weekly Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor or W-2 Part Time Employee (Non-Exempt) Schedule: Starting at 3 hours per week; increasing hours as needs arise Location: This is a remote position with California licensure required Role Summary The Testing Psychologist provides clinical oversight and supervision for comprehensive psychological and/or neuropsychological assessments conducted by a postdoctoral fellow. This role focuses on diagnostic clarification, treatment planning, and quality assurance of assessment services. Success in this position includes guiding high-quality evaluations, reviewing and refining assessment reports, and collaborating with referring providers to ensure excellent patient care. This is an ideal role for a psychologist who enjoys teaching, mentorship, and clinical leadership while maintaining selective hands-on involvement in assessment work and contributing to a growing training program. Testing Psychologist Responsibilities Provide primary supervision and clinical oversight for a postdoctoral fellow conducting psychological and/or neuropsychological assessments Review assessment data, test interpretations, diagnostic impressions, and treatment recommendations for clinical accuracy and completeness Conduct or co-conduct diagnostic interviews and clinical evaluations as needed Review, edit, and approve assessment reports to ensure clarity, timeliness, and clinical quality Participate in feedback sessions with clients and/or caregivers as appropriate Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, and referral sources to support integrated care Ensure compliant, ethical, and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) Provide mentorship, teaching, and professional development support to postdoctoral fellows (and interns, if applicable) Partner with leadership on training program development, assessment workflows, and quality improvement initiatives Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of postdoctoral fellows Uphold ethical standards, supervision requirements, and best practices in psychological assessment Compensation & Benefits Compensation: $150 per hour; paid bi-weekly Billing, credentialing, scheduling, and intake support Requirements Testing Psychologist Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted psychologist (PhD or PsyD) license in California Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical or School Psychology from an APA-accredited program Minimum of two years of experience as a licensed psychologist Formal training and experience in psychological testing and assessment or neuropsychological assessment Competency in administering standardized assessment instruments Experience conducting psychotherapy with specific populations (children, adolescents, trauma, couples, etc.) Ability to work independently and manage assessment caseloads Comfort using an EHR and telehealth platforms Experience in outpatient or group practice settings About Positive Change Counseling Center: Positive Change Counseling Center is a compassionate, client-centered mental health practice dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families create meaningful and lasting change.
