Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Quality Coordinator functions as an important member of the health care team by addressing care gaps and facilitating the coordination of care through screening, scheduling, referring, ordering, and, assisting patients in choosing a new provider when needed. This individual functions as a member of the healthcare team by providing basic clinical, clerical, and technical support to assist providers and care teams in planning for patients’ care, comfort, and safety. The Clinical Quality Coordinator performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health System’s (MCHS) mission, vision, and values while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certified. Or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma.
Preferred/Optional: None
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Two years’ experience as a medical assistant or licensed practical nurse (LPN) OR one year of clinical experience as a medical assistant/LPN AND one year as an appointment coordinator. Previous experience in a healthcare setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated experience with keyboard, computer, and telephone. Experience with customer service.
Preferred/Optional: Primary Care experience in either internal medicine, family practice, or pediatrics. Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite & Population Health.
