About the Role: This position will support North American clinical research projects from study initiation through study close-out and/or publication. Support of research projects includes participating in discussions with external investigators, reviewing study proposals and protocols, and providing clinical assistance to investigators. Throughout active studies this position will attend clinical and surgical research visits as needed as well as assist with study recruitment and data capture. Additionally, this position will be involved in maintaining a knowledge of relevant scientific literature. This position will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate key findings of literature related to MED-EL topics. Preference given to someone with an interest in writing manuscripts for sponsored projects. This position includes opportunities to collaborate with Marketing, Training, and Sales to disseminate information. Some travel will be required. Primary Responsibilities: Provide clinical and surgical support of North American clinical research projects from initiation through close-out Maintain knowledge of clinical research project requirements and regulations Assist in study planning Support study progress with recruitment, enrollment, attending clinical and surgical research visits, data entry, and data validation Assist in bench testing of research software Facilitate communication of key results of scientific literature with internal and external stakeholders Position Qualifications: Master’s degree in Audiology or hearing sciences or Doctorate of Audiology Preference given to candidates with an interest in vestibular audiology Strong written communication skills Knowledge of GCP guidelines Excellent computer skills Ability to organize and complete tasks in a timely manner
