Full time starting salary is normally in the range £36,130 to £45,413 with potential progression once in post to £48,149

Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

  • Work within specified research grants and contribute to writing bids
  • Operate within the areas of diabetes, endocrinology, and/or women’s health
  • Analyse and interpret research findings and results
  • Contribute to generating funding
  • Contribute to public understanding of diabetes and women’s health through research engagement and dissemination

MAIN DUTIES

The responsibilities may include some but not all of the responsibilities outlined below.

  • Support the design and implementation of research activities within DEKODE and PCOS SEVa
  • Develop research objectives and proposals for own or joint research, with mentorship as needed
  • Contribute to writing bids for research funding
  • Analyse and interpret clinical and research data
  • Apply clinical and academic knowledge to generate new intellectual understanding
  • Disseminate findings through publications, conferences, and seminars
  • Support intervention delivery and implementation in NHS settings
  • Liaise with NHS multidisciplinary teams to support research and intervention delivery
  • Support patient recruitment and consent processes in accordance with Good Clinical Practice
  • Supervise students and provide mentorship on research-related work
  • Contribute to developing new models, clinical pathways, or care interventions
  • Undertake management and administration tasks arising from research
  • Contribute to departmental research-related activities and academic citizenship
  • Present research outputs, including drafting academic publications or parts thereof
  • Provide guidance to support staff and students involved in the project
  • Deal with problems that may affect research timelines or delivery
  • Promote equality, value diversity, and foster an inclusive working culture
