The Psychosis Recruitment and Assessment Core at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital is seeking an Clinical Research Liaison and Assessor I to lead and support a diverse portfolio of clinical research studies of psychosis, with a strong emphasis on neuroimaging modalities (MRI, MEG, EEG), sleep research, pharmacological interventions, and mental health treatments. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in clinical research, and mental health care, who is passionate about advancing care for individuals with serious mental illness (SMI). This position is grant funded. Responsibilities: Coordinate and help manage multiple phases of clinical research studies, including protocol development, recruitment, data collection, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with a range of researchers to support neuroimaging sessions (MRI, MEG, EEG) and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams including psychiatrists, therapists, and care coordinators to recruit participants with psychosis for research studies Work closely with clinical neuroscience and psychiatry researchers and data analysts. Conduct clinical assessments and monitor participant safety, particularly in populations with SMI. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with institutional and federal guidelines. Train and supervise junior research staff and trainees. Masters degree (MA, MS, MSW) in Psychology, Social Work, or related field from an accredited institution. Direct clinical experience in Psychology or related field. One year of experience in clinical research coordination, preferably involving neuroimaging and/or mental health populations. Demonstrated experience working with individuals with serious mental illness in clinical or research settings. Strong knowledge of research regulations (e.g., GCP, HIPAA) and IRB processes. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
