Description Medix Infusion is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Clinical Review Nurse to join our team. As an Clinical Review Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive clinical assessments of medical records to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with therapy requirements before patient treatment begins. You will work closely with our Intake, Scheduling, Pharmacy, and Clinical teams to facilitate seamless patient care and uphold our high standards of quality and safety. Medix Infusion is a technology-driven healthcare platform dedicated to enhancing patient care and access to infusion therapies. We specialize in disease management and infusion pharmacy services for chronic and acutely ill patients, especially those in underserved communities. We offer personalized home and in-suite infusion therapies, ensuring convenience and comfort. Our expert team provides a comprehensive range of treatments, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectables, making each patient’s journey as smooth as possible. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate therapy orders for completeness, accuracy, and safety before patient care begins. Conduct clinical reviews of new referrals promptly to prevent delays in treatment. Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations and policies to ensure compliance. Collaborate with referring offices, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Managers, and Medical Directors to verify and obtain necessary medical information. Provide telephone-based guidance on medications, potential side effects, and infusion procedures. Accurately record and update patient information in the EMR system, including medication tables. Act as a resource for non-clinical staff, assist with onboarding, and train new team members. Maintain a compassionate and patient-focused approach while fostering a collaborative work environment. Complete follow-up tasks, participate in team meetings, and contribute to continuous process improvement. Required Qualifications: LVN or RN with at least two years of clinical experience. Experience in medical or utilization review is preferred. Minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in medical or utilization review. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, email, and self-service payroll software. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Awareness and understanding of diverse patient backgrounds and healthcare needs. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and interpret clinical data. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors, and staff.
