JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Services Coordinator with specialized knowledge in nuclear medicine to join our dynamic team at Initio. As the Clinical Services Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing the clinical services offered at our nuclear medicine facility. These services include PET/CT scans, therapeutics, and clinical research. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of nuclear medicine procedures, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Physics, Health Science or a closely related field.
  • Preferred MOA certification.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in nuclear medicine, preferably in diagnostic services, PET/CT, and therapeutics setting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, including PET/CT scans, therapeutics, and clinical research protocols.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and guidelines related to nuclear medicine procedures, including radiation safety and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
    *Shifts are scheduled days; 0900-1700 or 0800-1600, however based on scans sometimes a shift is needed Thursday from 1200-1900.

    Pay: $39,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and oversee the daily clinical operations of the nuclear medicine facility, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of services.
  2. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments for PET/CT scans, therapeutics, diagnostics services, and clinical research activities, taking into consideration physician orders and patient preferences.
  3. Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providing clear and comprehensive information about nuclear medicine procedures, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their visit.
  4. Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely completion of nuclear medicine procedures.
  5. Maintain and update patient records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and privacy policies. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines related to nuclear medicine procedures, including radiation safety, infection control, and quality assurance.
  6. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of necessary equipment, radiopharmaceuticals, and supplies for nuclear medicine procedures.
  7. Stay current with advancements and trends in nuclear medicine technology, attending relevant conferences, workshops, and educational programs.
  8. Other duties as required.
