QUALIFICATIONS:
The education and experience. You have a degree in psychology, social work, or related field. Masters in a relative field is considered an asset. You are registered with the College of Social Work or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario in good standing. A post-graduate certificate in mental health and addictions is considered an asset. You may have experience in a residential or community-based environment, preferably with youth in a mental health setting. You demonstrate a strong knowledge of Ontario’s legislation applicable to the non-profit and mental health sectors.
The management experience. You have a minimum 3 years of experience working as a supervisor/manager in the social service sector, preferably with individuals with complex mental health, serious mental illness, and substance use. Youth-specific experience is preferred. Familiarity with Housing First for Youth and Assertive Community Treatment Team models is preferred. You have an understanding of concepts related to power and privilege, social location, equity, and intersectionality. You have demonstrable experience in implementing equity strategies in programs and services. You have site and team management experience, including exposure to human resource management (union experience is a strong asset), financial management, program management, evaluation design, or systems design.

Lead programs and services. Using Assertive Community Treatment, Housing First for Youth, and Harm Reduction principles and best practices, you will develop and manage the delivery of clinical and addiction services and supports for youth (ages 16-24) receiving services from Our Place Peel. Overseeing a team of clinicians, you will shape and evolve the clinical team’s vision, philosophy, and objectives while managing projects that align internal operations with the evolving landscape of clinical care for youth experiencing homelessness.
