An exciting development opportunity has arisen within NHS Forth Valley to expand our current Clinical Co-ordinator/Senior Sister Midwifery team. This post will be based in the AMU and labour ward initially.
We are looking for individuals with a keen interest in normality who will support midwives and our women and further develop this agenda throughout the pregnancy pathway.
It is important that you are an enthusiastic and motivated midwife with excellent leadership and communication skills who can demonstrate focus and commitment to creating positive birth experiences for women.
It is essential that you have a keen interest in patient safety, excellent clinical knowledge, recent evidence of ongoing CPD, an awareness of research based evidence/guidelines and have competent IT skills. The applicant should posses the ability to prioritise fluctuating workloads, remain focused, and be flexible in an extremely busy environment. It is also desirable that you will be educated to degree level.
The role requires you to provide day to day support to the midwives in their practice and professional development as well as working with other nursing and medical staff, allied health professionals and senior management team.
This is a senior midwifery role and there is an expectation that the post holder will fully participate in the clinical and professional leadership within the organisation.
If you are seeking career progression and can see yourself as an effective member of a committed, woman focused team, embracing a strong midwifery ethos, then we want to hear from you.
