Main duties and responsibilities of post holder Clinical Simulation Responsibilities You will develop a sound working knowledge of locally used low to mid fidelity manikins. You will undertake basic maintenance of simulation, and other educational equipment including reporting of repairs. You will maintain part task trainers ensuring they remain fully operative for clinical training. You will provide basic maintenance and repairs for props, clinical and audio-visual equipment.
You will assist in the preparation and set-up of equipment and resources for educational events. You will assist in the clearing up of equipment and resources following educational events. You will use your knowledge for troubleshooting of technical issues within the service. You will assist with the maintenance of records, documents, and equipment databases.
You will order the departments supplies and equipment for clinical simulation and resuscitation as directed by the Clinical Simulation and Resus Leads. You will use of the Centres room booking system to schedule events. You will respond to enquiries made by phone, email, or post, referring to colleagues where necessary. You will perform other appropriate duties which may be required from time to time by the educational team, for example, participation in scenarios through role playing in a variety of clinical contexts.
You will actively contribute to successful team working and standards of supportive practice You will liaise with information technology (IT) to ensure NLaG Clinical Simulation website is up to date. You will promote a positive image of the Development and Simulation Hub (DaSH) to all users. Resuscitation Responsibilities You will support the Resuscitation Officers / Resuscitation Training Facilitators (RTF) by setting up and maintaining teaching materials. You will manage the Resuscitation inbox, directing queries to relevant members of the team as required.
You will support recording of booking and teaching activity in relation to Resuscitation services on the ESR System You will fully utilise the ESR system to produce reports allowing Resuscitation Officers / Facilitators to analyse / identify staff competencies / compliances. You will follow relevant SOPs to minimize the impact of non-attendance across all resuscitation programmes. You will assist in arrangement and execution of Resuscitation Council (RCUK) ALS and EPALS courses. This will include the collation of packages, bookings, and general accounts administration.
You will support the administration of RCUK ILS, PILS courses in the absence of the Resuscitation Officer / Facilitator. You will liaise with information technology (IT) to ensure NLaG Resuscitation Services website is up to date
