ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist to complement and enhance Neurorehabilitation and Aged Care team. This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Physiotherapist to lead clinical research, service evaluation and provide expert clinical consultation and education across SWSLHD in the specialty areas of acute neurosciences, rehabilitation, or aged care. The Clinical Specialist works closely with the Physiotherapy Head of Department and takes a lead role in supervision, education and training of Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants and Physiotherapy Students.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, clinical excellence, and a personable, efficient approach to working with a diverse range of patients, families, and colleagues. You will play a key role in mentoring junior staff, contributing to service development, and driving innovation in physiotherapy practice. Responsibilities

This Level 6 Clinical Specialist position is responsible for specialist physiotherapy clinical service provision. The Level 6 Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist takes a lead in planning and supporting clinical research, evidence based practice and quality improvement for the department and across SWSLHD. This includes taking a lead role in service development and evaluation, advanced reasoning and clinical practice skills in the management of clients of a novel or complex nature, as well as providing expert consultation and education across SWSLHD in the area of specialisation. This position is also responsible for the supervision, teaching and training of Physiotherapists, AHAs and students.
