Job Details Level: Experienced Job Location: Tigard, OR 97224 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: $63,000.00 - $65,000.00 Salary/year Travel Percentage: Negligible Job Shift: Day SUMMARY: The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical direction, training, and clinical and administrative supervision to clinical and operational staff as well as acts in the role of counselor. Along with the Program Manager, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for daily operations of their assigned site. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Carry a smaller caseload of patients and engage in treatment planning, implementing patient interventions with emphasis on patients with a level of complexity and/or specialty patient populations. Provide individual / group counseling and skills training as outlined in service plan and per productivity standards. Collaborate with counselors to provide case consultation for patients and determine appropriate treatment interventions, needed referrals and communications with community partners as indicated in treatment plan. Collaborate with counselors and Program Manager (PM) to train new clinical and operationalize staff according to agency policy. Provide onboarding and training support to new clinical staff until they are fully functioning as clinical staff. Conduct risk assessments with suicidal patients, and put into place a coordinated safety plan. Monitor and alert primary care and mental health partners in cases where patient is demonstrating concerning behaviors. Act as consultant for coordination of care with primary care and mental health partners. Adhere to regulatory requirements and maintain professional, ethical, and behavioral standards of conduct, especially during critical periods. Provide education and clinical direction of any mental health program needs. Consult, as necessary, with clinicians and other MH providers, as appropriate, in the community. Conduct integrated screening and assessment with patients according to ASAM criteria and agency policy. Review legal, medical, medication, and MH history, ensuring patient is appropriate for program, collaborating with Medical Director as necessary. Initiate and provide family support services. Conduct family education group counseling to provide family and friends education about program, addiction, program rules, and how to best support patient while in treatment. Collaborate with Program Manager to provide active administrative and clinical supervision for program staff to ensure quality of service, staff competency, alignment of mission, and staff engagement. Communicate clearly agency-wide and program-specific performance standards and expectations to each employee. Maintain open and ongoing communication with staff. Actively collaborate with relevant provider agencies and referents to support provider relations, patient access, and successful patient outcomes. Assist PM with Program supervision and development. Respond to staff scheduling requests and exceptions in a timely manner. Coordinate clinic coverage. Problem solve daily operational issues related to provision of services, billing, IT, and medical records by working collaboratively across departments at CODA. Respond to clinical crisis and external provider needs for progress and updates. Travel across sites to attend training or in providing services. Consistent attendance and punctuality are required of this position. Demonstrate compassion and respect for others. SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Provide backup coverage for clinical activities as necessary. Provide backup to Program Manager as appropriate for role. Provide shared on-call responsibilities. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position participates in supervisory responsibilities including; hiring, coaching, corrective action, training and termination by providing information to help senior leadership make decisions. Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree (preferred), or equivalent training and education CADCII or eligible to achieve CADCII within 6 months of hire Minimum of two years clinical experience in SUD specific behavioral health setting Minimum of one year in a leadership role in a behavioral health setting COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: Demonstrated knowledge of addictions and mental health practices. Demonstrated competencies in assessment, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and family support services. The capacity to effectively receive, integrate and apply information from multiple sources. Ability to maintain professional communications and boundaries while managing complex situations and interacting with individuals diagnosed with substance use or co-occurring conditions. Ability to utilize both oral and written communications skills to effectively engage with patients, co-workers, community resources, supervisors, and various other individuals encountered in the course of performing work while maintaining client confidentiality and establishing professional rapport. Ability to operate a computer, utilize basic MS Office programs, and effectively navigate and maintain client records in an electronic medical records system. Possesses an understanding and application of regulatory requirements. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: Ability to obtain CADC II or higher within six (6) months of hire. May be required to attain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to acquire within 90 days of hire. A valid Oregon or Washington driver’s license. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Must be able to drive agency vehicle with approved driver status. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to perform Basic Life Support for 15 minutes continuously b if certified in BLS. Must be able to follow proper protocol while interacting directly with patients and working in a clinical environment. Must be able to operate a personal computer, including reading from a computer monitor, keyboarding, and using a mouse. Must be able to negotiate staircase, reach, bend, and handle objects. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: A negative result on all pre-employment, reasonable basis, and post-accident drug screens. An acceptable criminal record as determined by DHS, the Oregon Administrative Rules, and the Oregon Revised Statutes. An acceptable driving record and the recommended amount of personal automobile insurance as determined by CODA’s automobile insurance provider.

Responsibilities
