Summary
The Clinical Supervisor of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services is responsible for providing supervision in a facility-based or community setting. The Clinical Supervisor of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services ensures clinical and administrative practices of individual staff meets agency expectations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability and Skill to train staff.
  • Trained in the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Model- as applicable (for both Adults and Children)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Trained in Multisystem Family Therapy

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide supervision focusing on habilitative support for both adults and children.
  • Provide clinical supervision to assigned staff ensuring client care is consistent with standards of best practice and meets principles of social work/counseling practice.
  • Maintains supervision logs to ensure appropriate clinical supervision is provided; conducts chart reviews to assess staff practice and track and trend patterns of non-compliance with best practice standards; discuss findings and provide training to address identified clinical practice challenges.
  • Resolves problems in service provision and conflicts among staff.
  • Participates and documents training on a regular basis for all areas/staff when required.
  • Evaluate staff performance, participate in staff hiring, and oversees disciplinary actions.
  • Coordinate schedules of staff and clients.
  • Prepares and submits statistical reports as required.
  • Identifies appropriate community contacts/agencies to establish a network for communication, referrals, and working relationships.
  • Meet performance expectations/metrics, as defined for the position within the assigned program.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in order to consistently evaluate program adaptation and/or expansion in correlation with existing needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Behavioral Health Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Agency’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, rewarding, disciplining employees, performance reviews, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
