JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Support Manager is an integral member of the hospital management team. They provide leadership during off-business hours and weekends to ensure effective, efficient operations supporting Southlake’s strategic directions. Overall, the Clinical Support Managers champion organizational change, facilitate effective patient flow, clinical, infection control. Monitors occupational health and safety practices, performs investigations, and issues a report including recommendations. Further, the role also acts to resolve patient complaints and conflicts among staff/departments.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Minimum three (3) years leadership experience

  • Minimum five (5) years direct patient care experience in acute care setting
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
  • Deep knowledge of hospital operations
  • Effective time management, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Knowledge of CNO professional standards
  • Working knowledge of union/hospital collective agreements
  • Critical Care and/or Emergency Experience preferred
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated problem assessment skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Demonstrated individual leadership skills

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or recognized equivalent required (all allied health, RPNs, and RNs)
  • Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or must be a registered allied health college member in good standing
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), level II: Basic Rescuer Certification
