APEX Heart Centre is seeking a detail-oriented and organized person to fill the role of Clinical Support. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in processing our patients and backing up our administrators. This position requires proficiency in electronic medical records, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and experience in a medical environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in a patient facing role.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems is required.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac terminology and cardiac medications are essential.
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting mandatory.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities
  • Process patients prior to in-clinic appointments which includes performing an ecg, blood pressure, updating height, weight & medications in our EMR system.
  • Filling in for administrators/receptionists during away/sick time.
  • Assisting with bookings from our wait list.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies in our day sheet.
  • Assist with chart prepping as needed.
