Royal North Shore Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide clinical expertise and support across the facility after hours, as well as support the After Hours Nurse Manager. The position is 20hrs per week, rotating roster. Previous applicants need not apply.

Responsibilities

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
The role of the Clinical Support Registered Nurse is to work in association with the After Hours Nurse Manager to provide clinical assistance, education and advanced clinical skills to nurses and patients within the organisation and ensuring a comprehensive quality nursing service.
This position works with staff whose workload/clinical need requires assistance and/or in situations where added staff is necessary to help manage the current clinical emergency situation (e.g. Clinical Aggressive Response Team, Deteriorating Patients, and Cardiac Arrest).
The position liaises closely with the After Hours Nurse Managers to facilitate effective and efficient provision of service delivery after hours across the whole campus. This position also works under direct supervision of the After Hours Nurse Manager and/or autonomously to help support all nursing staff through constant communication will ensure the most appropriate response to situations involving both staff and clients.
