Mark Willis, Service Improvement Inspector : “I’ve worked with clients who have autism, learning disabilities or struggle with their mental health for over 20 years. I started out as a support worker for several years and wanted to go in a more senior position, so I became a Senior Support Worker, a Frontline Manager, a Service Manager, and then there was an opportunity to work for Amore as a Senior Complex Care Case Officer. Amore has really been fantastic: there’s an open-door policy here, especially when it comes to the management team. I’ve worked here now since January of 2024, and I’ve now transitioned to working within the Service Improvement Team as an internal inspector. This new role is really fulfilling me since I’m going out and meeting the clients like I did as a Case Officer, meeting the staff and and seeing the fantastic work they do with the clients that we have. The main difference now is that I get to meet every client and all the support staff, whereas as a case officer there was only a few clients and their teams that I would oversee. It’s great to get an insight into everyone, since I’m very much a people person!”
