Description

Do you want to deliver outstanding care and be part of a forward thinking, inspirational, innovative team who have overcome significant challenges in the last few years, and to join us on our continuing journey towards excellence?
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide a high quality of care to patients on our Children’s Ward.

THE SERVICES WE PROVIDE:

Children’s Inpatient, Day Care, Assessment and Outpatients
Our Children’s Inpatient services provide compassionate care for Children and Young People from 0 to 16 years of age across two busy sites, Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Furness General Hospital. The units provide care for a mixture of specialties and for a wide range of conditions including High Dependency Care.
We are a University teaching hospital full of hard working and dedicated staff providing community and hospital services across the Morecambe Bay area.
Work in support of and under the direction of a Registered Children’s Nurse, providing basic care and assistance within defined parameters specified by the registered nurse.
Maintain cleanliness of the ward environment, in line with infection prevention and control standards.
Be aware of the structure and organisation of the NHS.
We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises.
Quality shines throughout the Trust, and the awards that our Care Groups, corporate teams or individuals have either won, or been shortlisted for, show the achievements are being recognised at a national level.
We are absolutely committed to making the Trust ‘a great place to be cared for; a great place to work’ through the delivery of the highest possible standards of compassionate care, as well as our research and education strategy to provide the very best patient and staff experience.
