Job Overview
The Clinical Systems Support Analyst will serve as the clinical product specialist for New Horizons Healthcare’s clinical applications, technology, and information systems. Collaborating with other IT peers and vendors, this individual will define, configure, administer, document, and support the organization’s clinical technological systems environment. They will be an integral part of the Information Technology team, supporting all aspects of clinical systems including the software and hardware environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Serve as a first point of contact to end users by responding to clinical systems assistance requests by phone, chat, email, or in person, to ensure that the users requests are resolved, and excellent customer support is provided.
  • Ensure timely follow up, coordination, and status updates until the issue is resolved.
  • Record and maintain accurate information within the HelpDesk ticketing system.
  • Configure and deploy new clinical systems throughout the organization.
  • Troubleshoot and solve any clinical systems problems, including handling both hardware and software issues.
  • Work with hardware and software vendors to purchase, install, configure, maintain, and update clinical systems including licensing and warranty replacements.
  • Prepare accounts, software, equipment, and informational materials for new hires and other employees.
  • Perform monitoring of all clinical systems, making sure that the systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Assist in purchasing of clinical licenses/equipment, maintain an accurate inventory of the licenses/equipment, and record the user license/equipment assignments.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to vendors.
  • Evaluate and test new clinical technologies, applications, and services.
  • Create technical documentation and training materials.
  • Serve as a backup to other members of the clinical application support team and IT department.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least 2 years of equivalent working experience.
  • Medical health record applications experience (EMR/EHR), eClinicalWorks preferred.
  • Pharmacy applications experience, Liberty software preferred, including Kirby Lester hardware.
  • Dental application experience, including Xray equipment support, XVweb/OneView/Dexis preferred.
  • Familiarity with clinical connected systems, such as EKG, Spirometry, Lab equipment.
  • Experience in developing IT or EHR policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in working with the Microsoft Windows operating system.
  • Office 365 administration experience, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
