Description:
TIMETABLE A fifty per cent commitment to the Emergency Medicine Department will be arranged by the Emergency Medicine service, this will include out of hours work including late shifts, weekends and nights. The rest of the time the candidate is expected to teach medical students. Continuing Professional & Personal Development time will be allocated. Ideally the individuals will have completed at least Foundation Training or equivalent A professional postgraduate examination is desirable but not essential.
The successful applicant will have the option of being sponsored to study for a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education or, if in possession of the Certificate, may wish to pursue a Diploma in Clinical Education. Funding is available for a PGCert Medical Education at Cambridge University or alternative institution up to £4250.00.00. Study leave and support will be provided by the Medical Education Department. (Please note 12 days will be taken from your study leave allowance).
If the post holder resigns during the post, the payment towards the PG Certificate needs to be returned in full
