JOB PURPOSE:
Lead the Counselling Team and the delivery of the counselling service and new initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the counselling team and the counselling provision.
To assist and work with the Clinical Services Manager to deliver the counselling service to a high standard.
To assist the Clinical Services Manager in the delivery of new mental health initiatives within the wider organisation.
Act as a key contact for risk and safeguarding issues.
Maintain and manage counselling waiting lists and referrals into the service.
Contribute to the development and provision of the counselling department.
Manage a small caseload of clients.
Experience of working with complex clients.
To communicate all identified significant events, relevant clinical issues and difficulties with the Clinical Services Manager.
Attend Multi-Disciplinary Meetings where appropriate.
Undertake appraisals for the counselling team, ensuring they have the right knowledge and personal development to excel in their roles.
Support and encourage the professional development of the team.
To carry out any other duties which are consistent with the nature and responsibilities of the post.
