Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician to join the team in our Observation Unit. This role will be PRN (as needed), night shift 7PM – 7:30AM. Candidates must be available to work any day of the week when scheduled. Candidates must be able to attend a paid 6 week training period. Provides basic activities of daily living nursing care (e.g. bathing and feeding) and measurement of vital signs and intake/output. Demonstrates competency in all required clinical skills and technologies in accordance with Inova Health System policies and procedures. Completes assigned patient duties within the established time frame. Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development in providing care for the patient population assigned. Completes necessary documentation accurately and reinforces discharge teaching and home care skills. Communicates changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner. Partners with Registered Nurse to create a professional development plan to provide employee with the necessary skills to deliver up to date patient care. May perform additional duties as assigned. Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7pm-7:30am) Schedule: Shifts as needed. Minimum of 72 hours (six shifts) per 3 months. Training: Candidate must be able to attend a 6-week training period, including virtual training sessions, classroom training days in Falls Church, VA (8:00am-4:30pm), and shifts on their unit. Clinical Technician Minimum Requirements: Experience: Healthcare experience preferred. Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Certification: BLS within 90 days of hire (from the American Heart Association).
