Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician 2 - Medical Surgical to join the team. This role will be full-time, nights; days vary, 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.; three (3), 12-hr shifts per week; rotating weekends & Holidays.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Education : High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience : One year of experience in an acute care setting as a clinical technician or successful completion of one acute care clinical rotation in an Accredited RN Program and/or two years of nursing school completed
• Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills : Proficient verbal and written communication skills in Englis

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.
• ADLs
• Blood Draws
• IV Insertion
• Catheter / Foley insertion
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• Training: Must be available for six (6) weeks of paid training, consisting of:
• Virtual modules
• Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM
• On-unit training with department hired into (times TBD)May perform additional duties as assigned
