Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician 2 to join our team in the Medical Unit. This role will be full-time night shift, 7pm – 7:30am. Days vary. Candidates must be able to work any weekday when scheduled, rotating weekends. Work/Life Balance: offering paid time off, paid parental leave Clinical Technician 2 Job Responsibilities: * Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse * Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families; and works cooperatively with others. * Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records. * Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines. * Maintains competencies and seeks opportunities to develop professionally. * Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals. * Assumes responsibility for self-development in life-long learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge. * Performs phlebotomy, starting and removing IV’s, and other clinical skills, which will be included in initial 6-weeks of training. * Performs additional duties as assigned. Shift: nights (7pm – 7:30am) Schedule: Three 12 hour shifts per week - must be able to work all weekdays when scheduled, Monday – Friday as needed (with every other weekend rotation) Training: Candidate must be able to attend a paid six-week Monday-Friday training course, including virtual training days, classroom training days, and hospital shifts. Minimum Qualifications: Experience: 1-year acute care experience as a Clinical Technician or clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program and/or 2 years of nursing school Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Certification: BLS within 90 days of hire. Special Skills: Proficient in English. Verbal and written communication skills required.
