Description:
Wise Path Recovery Centers - Williamson is looking for a clinical therapist to join our inpatient SUD facility team. The Clinical Therapist will assess the needs of clients, design a treatment plan and conduct therapy sessions to ensure treatment goals are being met. This position will be expected to retain a caseload of clients and hold retention to the best of their ability.
Accountabilities
- Screens and evaluates individuals to plan and administer therapeutic treatment
- Consults external community providers concerning treatment plans and for coordination of care, as required Administers biopsychosocial assessments
- Delivers therapeutic services using evidence based, best practice (CBT, DBT, Motivational Interview, Trauma Focused-CBT) approach with individuals, families and groups as determined by their treatment plan
- Completes accurate, timely clinical documentation consistent with agency standards, rules and regulations, including diagnosis using the DSM V
- Completes annual training requirements to develop professional skills and abilities
- Creates individualized treatment plan in collaboration with the client
- Maintains professional standards and follows the treatment policies and procedures of the facility, and of the federal, state, and local regulations
- Provides progress reports to the courts, probation departments, families, and referral sources when appropriate
- Advocates for the client and the family
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Lead Therapist
- Supervise interns/volunteers, if needed

Qualifications and Knowledge
- Ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules or policy & procedure manuals
- Demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to be flexible in relation to department needs
Education, Experience, Skills
- Master’s degree and clinical licensed strongly preferred (e.g., MLADC, LICSW, LMHC). Candidates holding an LADC will be considered
- Extensive knowledge of SUD Certification in Addiction Counseling strongly preferred
- Certification in Addiction Counseling (ADC/AADC) preferred
- Must have or, within 30 days from hire, be able to obtain current First Aid and CPR card
WORK CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work Setting: Indoors, environmentally controlled
- Body Positioning: Spend time sitting and standing, making repetitive motions, spend time using hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls. Frequently lift or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs
- Communication: Contact with others, electronic mail, in-person discussions, public speaking, telephone, video
