CLINICAL THERAPIST – Indiana Treatment Centers
Location: Pleasant Hill, IA | Job Type: Full-time | Schedule: M – F Days + rotating weekend on call

Thrive Now Recovery Centers in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services is dedicated to assisting individuals on their path to recovery from substance use disorders and related mental health challenges.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

  • Must hold or be eligible for licensure in Iowa as an LMHC, LISW, or LMFT.
  • If licensed as a CADC, candidate must also be currently enrolled in a master’s program in a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to apply sound judgment and handle a variety of clinical situations independently.
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire, valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused CBT.
  • Clinical experience through a practicum, internship, or post-graduate work in behavioral health, with a strong preference for experience in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment.
  • Master’s degree in a Human Services field (Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Addictions), or actively enrolled in a qualifying master’s program if holding a CADC.
Responsibilities
  • Admission and Planning: Complete clinical admissions, including assessments and preliminary treatment planning for new clients.
  • Crisis Intervention: Intervene clinically in crisis situations and address special client needs as they arise.
  • Documentation: Ensure timely completion of psychosocial assessments, clinical notes, and master treatment plans.
  • Therapy Services: Provide group therapy and counseling, and coordinate family therapy programs.
  • Quality and Compliance: Review client records for quality, ensure compliance with state regulations, and participate in quality assurance and utilization reviews.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the facility’s operations and goals.
