Description

Gratitude Lodge is a Detoxification Facility located in Long Beach offering Detox/Residential levels of care, focusing on substance abuse as well as co-occurring psychiatric disorders. We provide gender specific and co-ed group therapy, individual therapy, and case management. We are currently seeking a motivated, passionate therapist to join our team, applicants should have a strong understanding of the 12-steps, family symptoms, psycho-dynamic approach to therapy, as well as knowledge of CBT and DBT skills. Applicants should also be familiar with documenting in an Electronic Medical Record. Clinical Supervision is provided if needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual counseling and facilitate educational and counseling groups assigned and promptly chart these activities in the client’s records. (1-2 groups per week w/ a case load of 6)
  • Assess client’s strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences; formulate a diagnostic impression based on current DSM criteria; perform biopsychosocial assessments; and in conjunction with the client develop a workable plan for treatment.
  • Investigate case situations and present information to members of clinical team on client’s family and social background pertinent to diagnosis and treatment.
  • Select approach to use in individual therapy such as directive, non-directive, and supportive therapy and plans frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy.
  • Work cooperatively with other community resources and referral sources to coordinate services for clients.
  • Provide direct behavioral health services including mental health and substance abuse services (i.e., psycho/social assessments, consultation, individual/group/family therapy, professional in-service training and community education services, etc.) at a rate that achieves or exceeds the minimum direct service standard as established annually.
  • Provide crisis intervention services when authorized and necessary.
  • Maintain appropriate state license/registration/certification for scope of practice.
  • Carry out other responsibilities as delegated.
  • Perform utilization reviews as needed.
  • Complete risk assessments as needed.
    This is a full-time position (Monday-Friday, 8a-5p)
    Requires BBS Associate number and masters degree
