Job Description: • Part time (24 hours per week) Fixed term until December 2027 • Fitzroy location • Challenging and rewarding work environment • Friendly and supportive team environment About the Role Coordination and management of a number of International clinical trials Including (Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3) complex pharmaceutical sponsored and collaborative group clinical trials Coordination and adherence to clinical trial protocols Preparation of clinical trials in readiness for external and internal on site and remote audits Liaise with sponsors / collaborative groups for all relevant aspects of patient care Preparation of trial data for onsite monitoring visits, including data query resolution Communicate and liaison with multidisciplinary team, including patients regarding the status of the trial and treatment plan Classifications for this position will range from classification range HIM Grade 2 JA7 - JB1 ($88,467 - $101,691 per annum, pro rata for part time). The Oncology Trials Unit conducts national and International clinical trials, according to the Australian and International regulatory authorities, whilst abiding by contractual agreements, staff provide coordination and care to oncology patients who are participating in these clinical trials. POSITION PURPOSE The Clinical Trial Coordinator will be responsible for Oncology clinical trial coordination of new and ongoing commercially sponsored and investigator driven national and international clinical trials. POSITION DUTIES Full responsibility for the coordination and management of several clinical trials Excellent understanding of clinical trial protocols Develop required paperwork, e.g. Schedule of assessment proformas and trial schema’s Communicate and liaise with multidisciplinary teams, including patients regarding the status of the trial and treatment plan Serious adverse event to be communicated to relevant parties in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Accurate documentation and timely data collection and entry Liaise with sponsors / collaborative groups for all relevant aspects of protocol delivery and patient care Book patient appointments for scans and treatment Assist with ongoing submissions to HREC and Governance Update the CTMS after each patient visit INCUMBENT OBLIGATIONS Perform duties of the position to best of their ability and to a standard acceptable to SVHM Comply with all SVHM policies, procedures, by laws and directions Treat others with respect and always behave professionally and in accordance with the SVHM Code of Conduct Only access confidential information held by SVHM when this is necessary for business purposes, maintaining the confidentiality of that information once accessed Participate in the annual SVHM performance review process Display adaptability and flexibility to meet the changing operational needs of the business Comply with applicable Enterprise Bargaining Agreement provisions Display a willingness to develop self and seek to improve performance Clinical Quality and Safety Always work within approved scope of practice under supervision by more senior clinical staff as appropriate.
