About The Role
Join the Oncology and Haematology Service at John Hunter Children’s Hospital as a Clinical Trials Assistant and provide important research support to the Paediatric Oncology Unit.
This role contributes to the day-to-day coordination and administration of clinical research projects, helping ensure research activities are completed efficiently, accurately and within required timeframes.
You will support the team with a range of research and clinical trials activities, including maintaining research information and databases, assisting with project administration and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Where You'll Be Working
John Hunter Children’s Hospital is a specialised tertiary referral paediatric hospital providing oncology and haematology care to children and young people across Northern NSW.
The Oncology and Haematology Service operates from a state-of-the-art facility in a colourful, family-friendly environment. You will work as part of a large and supportive multidisciplinary team including medical, nursing and allied health professionals.
The role also has access to support from the HNE and HMRI Clinical Trials Support Unit, as well as collaboration with other paediatric oncology centres nationally.
About You
You will bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy and changing environment. The role requires initiative, self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong computer skills are important, particularly for managing clinical research databases and other IT systems. Excellent communication skills will also support effective liaison with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
