About the role 

As a Clinical Unit Assistant, you will support the day-to-day delivery of clinical trials by working directly with study participants and assisting clinical teams throughout each study. Your responsibilities will include participant monitoring, collecting and processing biological samples, maintaining accurate study documentation, preparing the clinical unit for study activities, and ensuring clinical trial procedures are completed in accordance with protocols, regulatory requirements and quality standards. Key responsibilities 

  • Perform clinical procedures and participant assessments in accordance with study protocols and standard operating procedures.  
  • Administer investigational products and support study-related clinical activities.  
  • Build positive relationships with study participants, providing supervision and support throughout their trial journey.  
  • Conduct study procedures including vital signs, ECGs, telemetry, blood collection, blood processing and adverse event monitoring.  
  • Collect and accurately document clinical data and study information.  
  • Maintain compliance with ICH-GCP, study protocols and regulatory requirements.  
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the successful delivery of clinical trials. 

Requirements 

  • Can commit to a 24/7 rotating roster (includes overnights and weekends) 
  • Tertiary qualification in related science or health care discipline 
  • Team player with excellent time management 
  • Ability to adhere to relevant document standards 
  • Excellent communication skills with a high attention to detail
