Responsibilities:
The Outsourcing Manager will support the contracting needs of the global GMDA team. The Outsourcing Manager (OSM) will be responsible for the generation and negotiation of contracts, including FMV (for HCPs) as required. The OSM will ensure that the contract terms and budget meet the needs of both the Vertex business owner and Vertex legal requirements. The OSM will also be responsible for generating change orders to the contracts of work, as required. The OSM will work closely with the Outsourcing Coordinator to ensure the contract is executed and the PO is released in a timely manner.
- Responsible for requesting confidentiality agreement, if required
- Responsible for the contract negotiation and execution of contracts supporting needs of the area to which the OSM is assigned (e.g., clinical vs. HCP vs. non-clinical)
- Act as the primary contact with vendors/ for negotiation of the scope of work, study assumptions and budgets
- Work closely with legal, business owners and other relevant functional groups for review and escalation of contract and budget issues
- Support cross-functional relationships with the GMDA stakeholders, legal and finance
- If applicable, participate in study team meetings (clinical only)
- Maintain contracts database
- Perform other duties as required
