This Clinician role offers variable shifts to support department needs, providing flexibility while allowing you to stay engaged in both leadership and clinical practice. As a Clinician, you are a nurse leader who helps drive a culture of excellence in patient care and staff development. You’ll serve as a role model for professional nursing practice, supporting a highly collaborative team in a setting where relationships matter. In our smaller unit, you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful connections with staff, patients, and families while directly influencing team success. You will partner closely with leadership to support hiring, coaching, performance management, and clinical excellence, while also stepping in to provide patient care when needed. Responsibilities Lead and mentor staff through positive communication, coaching, and fostering a supportive, team-oriented environment Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management for direct reports, helping build a strong and engaged team Provide clinical education, orientation, and ongoing training to ensure staff feel confident and supported in their roles Promote a culture of continuous improvement by integrating evidence-based practice and identifying opportunities to enhance patient care and the work environment Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered behavioral health care Serve as a clinical resource and role model, guiding staff through complex patient care situations with strong critical thinking and communication Build meaningful relationships with patients and families to create a compassionate, healing environment Engage in shared governance, quality initiatives, and leadership activities to support unit and system goals Mentor new nurses, students, and peers, helping develop the next generation of nursing professionals Maintain flexibility to support both leadership responsibilities and direct patient care based on unit needs Ths is a great opportunity for a nurse leader who values connection, teamwork, and making a visible impact in a close-knit Behavioral Health setting. BS/BSN required. If BS degree not in nursing, a Master's or higher degree in Nursing is required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of nursing experience Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire Registered Nurse (RN) Act 34 *Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
