Clinician I (Pre-licensed) Summary: The Clinician I is responsible for accessing adults and children by diagnosing and treating mental and emotional disorders. Apply psychotherapeutic and family system theories and techniques in the delivery of services to individuals, couples, and families to treat such diagnosed emotional and mental disorders. Essential Job Duties: * Direct service treatment, including diagnostic (intakes), crisis intervention, and on-going treatment (individual, family, and group.) Provision of direct service hours to ensure contract targets are met annually. * Caseload management: information/referral advocacy. * Community outreach, presentation, and parent education training as necessary to facilitate individual case and program goals. * Team accountability and responsibilities along with project supervisors, students, other divisions, and administrative staff. * Generation and implementation of Treatment Plans, utilization Review, and other case planning activities. * Participation and presentation at case review/disposition, case consultation, and peer support meetings. * Assisting in program start-up activities and subsequent (on-going) statistical and recording as needed * This position may be required to work evening hours to ensure the needs of clients are met. * Participate in community outreach events as needed. * Punctual and Regular Attendance * Other duties as assigned and necessary Qualifications/Skills * 1 year experience in a clinical community-based setting preferred. * Experience with child /group therapy. * Experience with treating depression, anxiety, behavioral, trauma * Bilingual/Spanish speaking preferred. * Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to communicate effectively via e-mails. * Ability to analyze and interpret information to plan appropriate treatments. Education, Training and Experience: * Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or Social Work from an accredited institution * Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of Automobile Insurance. Physical & Mental Demands: * Working at a desk for extended periods of time with computer/keyboard work. * Long periods of intense concentrated attention on details. * Ability to lift/carry at least 30 pounds. * Ability to perform tasks that require bending/stooping. * Ability to perform under high pressure/problem solving situations. * Ability to cope with a fast-changing work environment. * Contribute to the organization culture of the department with a positive attitude and professional demeanor. * Ability to multi-task and stay focused with many interruptions. * Ability to deal with many different personalities.
