Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE:

To work under the clinical supervision of the Consultant Clinical Psychologist to provide psychological support to the Brainkind neurobehavioral rehabilitation programme within the service/hospital.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the guidance and supervision of the supervising Psychologist to provide assistance in:

  • Behavioural monitoring with observations, data gathering, analysis, management and presentation of behavioural data for weekly clinical team meeting.
  • Behavioural modification with writing and maintaining behavioural guidelines with support to the wider staff team in their implementation.
  • Neuropsychological assessments with the production and presentation of findings.
  • Supporting individual people, we support with weekly meetings and specific interventions.
  • To maintain and provide those outcome measures identified within the agreed annual schedule.
  • To produce behavioural and emotional progress reports for Review Meetings and present these.
  • Group work (e.g. anger management and life skills). Training and support of the wider staff team both on induction and written weekly tutorial sessions.
  • Liaison role between Clinical Lead, Clinical Team and wider staff team regarding understanding and implementation of behaviour management programme.
