Description

Overview Acts as collaborative member of the clinical team in providing continuity and quality care to patients. Initiates patient care assessments, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for procedures, draw up meds and give injections. Provide patient educations and support as needed to assist providers, patients and family. Answer and return phone calls pertaining to patients medical/clinical questions and concerns. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required. Certification: Certified Medical Assistant required. Experience: Minimum of one year clinic experience in clinic setting. Phlebotomy experience preferred. Previous customer service experience preferred. Typing, word processing, computer, and telephone skills preferred. Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience in Athena is preferred, but not required. Additional Skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to use computer, fax machine and copy machine. Must be detail oriented and work well in a team environment. Experience with GPMS/EMR is desired.
