Overview The Medical Assistant (MA) delivers direct patient care in the clinical setting beginning with escorting the patient to the examination room, performing any treatments and procedures required by the physician, and ending with the discharging of the patient. He/she recognizes, reports, and documents clinical observations. He/she is responisble for coding the procedures correctly. Qualifications Education required: High School Diploma or GED License, Certification and/or registration: Current CPR Certification. Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant delivers direct patient care, which includes escorting patients, performing treatments, and discharging patients. They are also responsible for recognizing, reporting, and documenting clinical observations.
